ASPIRE focuses on six priority sectors, building strong relationships and gaining insights into current and future technology gaps and challenges faced by our clients. Through in-depth market research and facilitating industry dialogue, we work closely with the research centers at TII to deliver a tailored R&D value proposition. This collaboration enables us to develop and advance technologies toward commercialization, ensuring solutions that meet our clients’ and the industry’s evolving needs.

We generally start with our clients problem statements, understanding the root of the challenges faced and the business opportunity in solving them to give us a sense of the highest priorities in a given priority sector.
We work with our TII colleagues to propose novel solutions to these problems based on TII's core capabilities, developing use-cases that detail our proposed approach and how it compares to the current state-of-the-art.
Through a process of prioritisation with our clients we find the most impactful, mutually beneficial projects to progress, building detailed project proposals, signing agreements that define our ways of working and deploying resources to kick off the project and start the process of innovation and technology maturation, proving the concepts detailed in our proposed Use-case.
We have identified priority sectors to primarily serve the needs of industry within Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE. However, we also engage internationally to address the highest value use-cases for the advancement of society, the economy and the environment.
We aim to tackle challenges across the value chains of these priority sectors, prioritizing engagements through the development of techno-economic assessments and business cases to ensure maximum impact. Our collaborative projects are designed to fast-track the maturation of technologies that address specific client needs, with the understanding that the client will become the first customer of the developed technology through a commercial arrangement.
The value chain we’ve established under ATRC enables ASPIRE to identify technology gaps, collaborate with TII to leverage world-class R&D capabilities to develop novel IP, and mature the technology through proof of concept in an operational environment. Once validated, the technology is transferred to VentureOne for commercialization, with our client as the first customer.
